Yayasan Rabu Biru Indonesia, in collaboration with Yayasan Lembaga GNOTA,

Bekasi, February 5, 2025 – Yayasan Rabu Biru Indonesia, in collaboration with Yayasan Lembaga GNOTA, organized an Eye Health Screening and Eyeglass Donation program for 140 foster children and educators at SDN 02 and SDN 03 Samudra Jaya, Bekasi Regency. This initiative aims to improve children’s eye health and support their learning process in school.

The event was attended by the Chairperson of Yayasan Rabu Biru Indonesia, Mr. Abraham Auzan, as well as the Chairwoman of Yayasan Lembaga GNOTA, Mrs. Gendis Siti Hatmanti, along with the entire teams from both foundations. Their presence provided encouragement for the students and educators who warmly welcomed this program.

Mr. Abu Bakar, Principal of SDN 02 Samudra Jaya, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the program. “We are very grateful for the assistance provided. We hope the donated eyeglasses will be beneficial for our students and educators,” he said.

In her speech, Mrs. Gendis Siti Hatmanti stated that this collaboration is an honor for Yayasan Lembaga GNOTA to work together with Yayasan Rabu Biru Indonesia. “We are delighted to contribute to this eye screening and eyeglass donation program. May this initiative bring blessings to all of us. To my dear foster children, I hope this support will boost your enthusiasm for learning,” she said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Abraham Auzan emphasized the importance of eye health check-ups for children. “Through this program, children who need eyeglasses will receive the necessary support to enhance their learning experience. May these children become smarter, healthier, and grow into the future generation that will lead Indonesia towards its Golden Era in 2045,” he remarked.

The series of activities began with an eye health education session delivered by Dr. Nuraini, Sp.M from the Faculty of Medicine at Muhammadiyah University Prof. DR. Hamka (UHAMKA). Following this, the children participated in a coloring competition and underwent eye screenings conducted by an optometry and refraction team, accompanied by foster parents from Yayasan Rabu Biru Indonesia.

This program serves as a tangible contribution to supporting the health and education of Indonesian children. With improved vision, they are expected to have a brighter future. Moving forward, Yayasan Lembaga GNOTA hopes to continue collaborating with Yayasan Rabu Biru Indonesia to develop more beneficial programs for Indonesian children.
