Bank BRI Corporate Social Responsibility to Support Indonesia Better Education

In line with Bank BRI’s slogan, “Serving with a Sincere Heart”, in December 2022 and in celebration of Christmas and New Year, Bank BRI, accompanied by students from SDN 01 Grogol and GNOTA, held a symbolic handover event for donations from Foster Parent Bank BRI Cikampek at Plaza Senayan. Bank BRI, also the sponsor of the GNOTA Christmas Charity Booth, made a symbolic handover and was entertained by playing angklung with the song Tanah Airku by the student.

In addition to this symbolic event, we interviewed Mr Saran Nugroho Taufik Ismail, Head of Bank BRI Cikampek Branch, to know about the vision and mission of Bank BRI.

• What do you think about today’s symbolic event?

Thank God it’s amazing, everything went smoothly, and I hope this continues because good intentions will continue to give good results.

• Why does BRI Cikampek want to become OTA GNOTA?

BRI Cikampek, is one of BRI’s visions. Apart from doing business in savings and loans, BRI also has a social responsibility, namely Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), through the GNOTA Foster Parents program, so this program is right on target. BRI has been active for 127 years and wants to continue to pay attention and commit to helping children’s education and complete 12 years of study.

• Does BRI have programs that support education?

BRI Bank, the largest bank spread throughout Indonesia, has a vision and mission, especially for education. We support government programs, such as channelling PIP funds and distributing direct cash assistance. One of which is also like today, we are providing school supplies to students of SDN Walahar I in West Java, Karawang Regency. All units from Bank BRI in branch offices and regions are ready to support.

• What are your impressions and messages for Indonesian children?

To all younger siblings, keep up the enthusiasm, study, study and study. Focus on studying. Reach for knowledge and aspirations as high as the sky with enthusiasm. God willing, Bank BRI is ready to help because if it starts with good intentions, the results will also be good; of course, don’t forget to pray; I hope that all Indonesian children will be successful and will become successful leaders too.
