Kegiatan – GNOTA With US Embassy

United States Department of Justice (USDOJ), ICITAP, US Embassy Jakarta collaborated with the Women Leadership Development Project (WLDP), GNOTA Foundation and the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA) to hold Awareness of Child Protection from special social issues to “Children Street “.

The number of participants who attended this event was approximately 1,209 children from 15 “Street Children” communities. The event was divided into 3 waves, 27 November 2017, 08 February 2018 and 22 February 2018. Each wave was attended by 403 children from 5 communities. These children were invited to listen to a presentation on Child Protection from social issues at the KPPPA Building (Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection), Jakarta.

In this session was explained that children are required to know the 4 basic rights of children:  the Right to Life, Growth, Protection and Participation. Children are also encouraged to use social media wisely, by not giving their identity on social media and not accepting carelessly “friends invitations”.

Also on this occasion, school shoes were distributed to support their learning spirit. This shoe procurement is a collaboration of GNOTA Foundation and USDOJ ICITAP, US Embassy Jakarta.
